Response to Wonder Women
As I was listening to Wonder Women I was thinking about how she planned her goals out and how she had a deadline for the goals. Whenever she was not able to complete one she would retry it or try a different way to complete that goal. In life most people give up when they get denied or what they are aiming for is too tough for that person. If every person had the same attitude as the zorra, there would be more things finished in a shorter time period. Also this attitude that she had is the type of attitude most people look for when they are planning on hiring someone for a job. I would consider myself somewhat similar to this but some goals take time to complete.

Harlem Cowboy Response
J.Mike
While I was listening to The Harlem Cowboy, I was visualizing what was being said about Oregan. Not only that but how it must have been for the Harlem kid when he was the only colored person in Oregan. He must have enjoyed his stay at Oregan since he decided to visit every year for three years. The women and the harlem kid could possibly still be in touch with eachother. Not every person that is custom to one place has to stay there, they can get tired of being in one place and go out to explore new things. Everyone has to get out and explore the world or at least their neighborhood.

My Neighborhood
In my neighborhood I stayed with my uncle for four years during my elementary and part of my middle school years. My uncle was a laid back person and had his own little boxing club in his back yard; there were always new people each year. The boxing club wasn’t that big but we would enjoy ourselves every time we would compete against other little boxing clubs. During the first year of living with my uncle I had got into a fight with our neighbor over a girl. This was at school so of course we had gotten suspended. After our little dispute over a girl we ended up becoming good friends and we would get into trouble together.
The neighbor down the street from me was a mean old man who was the first person to call the police on me for trespassing. I don’t really consider it trespassing because I was only on his property for a brief second. After he called the police on me I never jumped over his fence or stepped a foot on his yard even if I thought it was a short cut. The alleys in my neighborhood were our way around the block and escape routes from people that would chase us. I don’t recall all the times that the alleys helped me get out of a tough situation but I do remember when I was being chased by a group of people and actually got away without a scratch. I was a good kid but the people I knew were the only reasons why I would get chased or into a fight with other people in the alley.
Every year on Halloween night there would be a house down the street that would make their house look haunted. They would always have the skeletons hanging in their front yard while some creepy music would be played. I remember the first year I moved there I wanted to check it out so I went with three friends Bradley, Steven, and Eddie. Before we got to the door a man disguised as a scarecrow popped up from the floor and grabbed Bradley, he then made a high pitched scream which startled me. After that happened we all started laughing and continued on into the house, its inside was nice and they had an amazing set up for a haunted house. This house was also the only one that would have the spirit for Halloween ever year with something new.
Getting use to the new neighborhood didn’t take long for me. I was always out and about doing something with my friends or I was at home training with my uncle. As the years passed by I got to know many people that lived near me. The first party that I went to was not that far from where I stayed. My friend Steven had told me about it a week before, so I was looking forward to that night of the party. Once the night came I was ready, I had snuck out and got picked up by Steven. Around one in the morning the house was packed and I was starting to feel the beer kick in, I thought that I could handle one more drink so I started to drink again. Soon after I opened that beer my stomach started to feel different and next thing I know I’m running for the bathroom. I had barely made it to the bathroom before the beer I just drank started to come out. The next day I woke up with a massive headache and I told myself I would never drink as much again.
My neighborhood allowed me to meet new and interesting people that I got to learn some new things from. If there was anywhere I would go, it would be this neighborhood. Even though it was kind of a bad place to live I thought it was the best place to be.
